The Trans-Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP) is a natural gas pipeline that runs through Turkey, connecting the Shah Deniz gas field in Azerbaijan to Europe. It is a key part of the Southern Gas Corridor, aimed at diversifying energy supplies and reducing dependence on Russian gas.
TANAP stretches approximately 1,850 kilometers and was completed in 2018. The pipeline transports natural gas from the Trans-Caspian Pipeline to the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), facilitating the flow of gas to various European countries. This project enhances energy security and promotes economic cooperation in the region.
