Tongmenghui
The Tongmenghui, or the Chinese Revolutionary Alliance, was a political organization founded in 1905 by Chinese revolutionaries, including Sun Yat-sen. Its primary goal was to overthrow the Qing Dynasty and establish a republic in China. The alliance united various revolutionary groups and played a crucial role in the early 20th-century movement for change in China.
The Tongmenghui promoted ideas of nationalism, democracy, and people's livelihood, which later influenced the founding principles of the Republic of China. The organization was instrumental in the 1911 Xinhai Revolution, which ultimately led to the fall of the Qing Dynasty and the establishment of a republican government.
