Toddler Growth
Toddler growth refers to the physical and developmental changes that occur in children aged 1 to 3 years. During this stage, toddlers typically gain about 4 to 6 pounds and grow 3 to 5 inches each year. Their motor skills improve significantly, allowing them to walk, run, and climb with greater confidence.
Cognitive and social development also flourishes during toddlerhood. Children begin to expand their vocabulary, often learning new words daily. They start to engage in imaginative play and develop basic social skills, such as sharing and taking turns, which are essential for their interactions with peers and caregivers.
