Timber Wolves
Timber wolves, also known as gray wolves, are large canines native to North America. They typically weigh between 50 to 110 pounds and have a thick coat that varies in color from gray to brown. Timber wolves are social animals that live in packs, which help them hunt and protect their territory.
These wolves primarily feed on large ungulates, such as deer and elk, but they can also eat smaller mammals and carrion. Timber wolves play a crucial role in their ecosystem by helping to control prey populations, which in turn supports the health of vegetation and other wildlife in their habitat.
