Tihar
Tihar is a five-day Hindu festival celebrated mainly in Nepal and parts of India. It usually occurs in October or November and is also known as the Festival of Lights. Each day of Tihar is dedicated to honoring different animals and deities, including crows, dogs, and goddesses like Laxmi, the goddess of wealth.
During Tihar, people decorate their homes with colorful lights and flowers, and they create beautiful rangoli designs. Families come together to celebrate with music, dance, and delicious food. The festival emphasizes the importance of family, friendship, and gratitude, making it a joyful occasion for all.
