Tiger Habitats
Tigers primarily inhabit a variety of environments, including tropical forests, grasslands, and mangrove swamps. They are most commonly found in the Sundarbans of India and Bangladesh, as well as in the Taiga forests of Siberia. These habitats provide the necessary cover and prey for tigers to thrive.
The availability of water sources is crucial for tiger habitats. They often live near rivers, lakes, or wetlands, which support their prey, such as deer and wild boar. Conservation efforts aim to protect these habitats to ensure the survival of the Panthera tigris species in the wild.
