Panthera tigris
Panthera tigris, commonly known as the tiger, is the largest species of the cat family. Native to Asia, tigers are known for their distinctive orange coat with black stripes, which helps them blend into their natural habitat. They are solitary hunters, primarily preying on large mammals such as deer and wild boar.
Tigers are classified into several subspecies, including the Bengal tiger and the Siberian tiger. They are primarily found in forests, grasslands, and wetlands. Unfortunately, tigers are endangered due to habitat loss, poaching, and human-wildlife conflict, making conservation efforts crucial for their survival.
