Threshing
Threshing is the process of separating grains from the stalks and husks of cereal plants. This is an essential step in harvesting crops like wheat, rice, and barley. Traditionally, it was done by hand using tools like flails, but modern methods often involve machines called combine harvesters that can efficiently perform this task.
The goal of threshing is to obtain clean grains that can be stored and processed for food. After threshing, the remaining straw and chaff can be used for animal bedding or as compost, making the process beneficial for both agriculture and sustainability.
