Three-Toed Sloth
The Three-Toed Sloth is a slow-moving mammal native to the tropical forests of Central and South America. It is known for its distinctive three long claws on each limb, which help it hang from tree branches. Sloths are primarily herbivorous, feeding on leaves, fruits, and flowers, and they have a low metabolic rate that allows them to conserve energy.
These animals are excellent climbers and spend most of their lives in trees, where they are well-camouflaged among the foliage. The Three-Toed Sloth is also known for its unique adaptations, such as a specialized stomach that helps digest tough plant material and a slow reproductive rate, typically giving birth to one offspring every year.
