Theobald II, Count of Champagne
Theobald II, Count of Champagne was a nobleman who ruled from 1152 until his death in 1159. He was the son of Theobald I, Count of Champagne and Matilda of Carinthia. Theobald II is known for his efforts to strengthen the power of his county and for his involvement in the politics of the region during the 12th century.
During his reign, Theobald II supported the Crusades and maintained alliances with other noble families. His rule was marked by a focus on economic development and the improvement of local governance. After his death, he was succeeded by his son, Henry I, Count of Champagne.
