The Life and Work of the Emperor Dušan
Emperor Dušan, also known as Dušan the Mighty, ruled the Serbian Empire from 1331 to 1355. He expanded the empire significantly, making it one of the most powerful states in the Balkans during the 14th century. His reign is marked by military conquests, including the annexation of Macedonia and parts of Albania, which strengthened Serbian influence in the region.
Dušan is also known for his legal reforms, particularly the Dušan's Code, which established a comprehensive legal system. He promoted the Orthodox Christian faith and sought to elevate the status of the Serbian Orthodox Church, making it an important institution in his empire.
