Tectona
Tectona, commonly known as teak, is a tropical hardwood tree native to Southeast Asia. It is highly valued for its durable and water-resistant wood, making it a popular choice for outdoor furniture, boat building, and flooring. Tectona trees can grow up to 40 meters tall and are known for their large, broad leaves.
The wood of Tectona is rich in natural oils, which contribute to its resistance to decay and insect damage. Due to its desirable properties, Tectona is often harvested sustainably, and its cultivation is an important aspect of forestry in countries like Myanmar, India, and Thailand.
