Tea Plants
Tea plants, scientifically known as Camellia sinensis, are evergreen shrubs native to East Asia. They thrive in warm, humid climates and are typically grown in well-drained, acidic soils. The leaves of the tea plant are harvested to produce various types of tea, including green tea, black tea, and oolong tea, depending on the processing methods used.
The tea plant can grow up to 30 feet tall in the wild, but it is usually pruned to about 3 feet for easier harvesting. The leaves are rich in antioxidants and have been enjoyed for centuries for their flavor and potential health benefits.
