Te Whāriki
Te Whāriki is New Zealand's early childhood education curriculum framework, designed to support the learning and development of children from birth to school age. It emphasizes a holistic approach, recognizing the importance of children's relationships with their families, communities, and the environment.
The framework is based on four principles: empowerment, holistic development, family and community, and relationships. These principles guide educators in creating inclusive and culturally responsive learning environments that foster children's well-being and learning through play and exploration.
