Taiwanese Spirits
Taiwanese spirits, often referred to as Taiwanese liquor, are traditional alcoholic beverages produced in Taiwan. The most famous type is Kaoliang, a strong distilled spirit made from fermented sorghum. It is known for its high alcohol content and distinct flavor, often enjoyed straight or in cocktails.
Another popular spirit is Mijiu, a rice wine made from glutinous rice. It has a lower alcohol content and is commonly used in cooking and traditional ceremonies. Both types of Taiwanese spirits reflect the island's rich cultural heritage and are enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.
