Taha Tinana
Taha Tinana refers to the physical dimension of well-being in the Māori worldview. It emphasizes the importance of maintaining a healthy body through physical activity, nutrition, and overall fitness. This aspect of well-being is crucial for achieving balance and harmony in life.
In the context of Te Whare Tapa Whā, a holistic health model developed by Sir Mason Durie, Taha Tinana is one of four dimensions, alongside Taha Hinengaro (mental health), Taha Wairua (spiritual health), and Taha Whānau (family health). Together, these dimensions contribute to a person's overall health and well-being.
