Syeikh Abdul Qadir Jilani
Syeikh Abdul Qadir Jilani was a prominent Islamic scholar and Sufi mystic born in 1077 in Gilan, Persia. He is best known for founding the Qadiriyya order, one of the oldest Sufi brotherhoods, which emphasizes spiritual development and devotion to God. His teachings focused on the importance of inner purification and the pursuit of divine knowledge.
Jilani was also a prolific writer, with many works that address Islamic theology, ethics, and spirituality. His most famous book, Ghuniyat al-Talibin, serves as a guide for spiritual seekers. He passed away in 1166 in Baghdad, where his tomb remains a site of pilgrimage for many followers.
