Sycamores
Sycamores are large deciduous trees belonging to the genus Platanus. They are known for their distinctive bark, which peels away in patches to reveal a lighter inner layer. Sycamores can grow up to 100 feet tall and have broad, lobed leaves that provide ample shade. They are commonly found in North America and parts of Europe.
These trees thrive in a variety of soil types and are often found near rivers and streams. Sycamores produce small, round seed balls that can be seen hanging from their branches. They are valued for their aesthetic appeal and are often planted in parks and along streets.
