Surgical Birth
Surgical birth, also known as a cesarean section or C-section, is a medical procedure used to deliver a baby through an incision in the mother's abdomen and uterus. This method is often employed when a vaginal delivery poses risks to the mother or baby, such as in cases of breech presentation, multiple pregnancies, or fetal distress.
During a surgical birth, the mother is typically given anesthesia to minimize pain. The procedure usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour, and the recovery time can vary. After the birth, the baby is usually assessed for health, and the mother is monitored for any complications related to the surgery.
