Sun Jian was a prominent military general and warlord during the late Eastern Han dynasty in ancient China. He is best known for his role in the early stages of the Three Kingdoms period, where he fought against various rival factions and laid the groundwork for the future rise of the Sun family.
Born in 155 AD, Sun Jian gained a reputation for his bravery and strategic skills in battle. He played a significant role in the campaigns against the Yellow Turban Rebellion and later against the Dong Zhuo regime. His legacy continued through his sons, particularly Sun Ce and Sun Quan, who further established the Eastern Wu kingdom.
