Dong Zhuo
Dong Zhuo was a powerful warlord and politician during the late Eastern Han dynasty in ancient China. He is best known for seizing control of the imperial court in 189 AD after the death of Emperor Ling. Dong Zhuo's rise to power was marked by his ruthless tactics and military strength, which allowed him to dominate the political landscape.
His rule was characterized by tyranny and corruption, leading to widespread resentment among other warlords and officials. In 190 AD, a coalition of regional leaders formed to oppose him, ultimately leading to his downfall. Dong Zhuo was assassinated in 192 AD, which marked a significant turning point in the power struggles of the Three Kingdoms period.
