Eastern Wu
Eastern Wu was one of the three major states during the Three Kingdoms period in ancient China, existing from 222 to 280 AD. It was founded by Sun Quan and was located in the southeastern region of China, primarily in the area of modern-day Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. Eastern Wu was known for its strong naval power and strategic position along the Yangtze River.
The state played a significant role in the power struggles against the other two kingdoms, Wei and Shu. Eastern Wu's capital was located in Jianye, which is present-day Nanjing. The state is also famous for its cultural achievements and notable figures, including the military strategist Zhou Yu.
