Sufi order of the Qadiri
The Qadiri order is one of the oldest Sufi orders, founded by Abdul Qadir Gilani in the 12th century in Baghdad. It emphasizes the importance of spiritual purification, devotion to Allah, and following the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. The order promotes a deep connection with God through prayer, meditation, and ethical living.
Members of the Qadiri order often engage in communal gatherings, known as dhikr, where they recite prayers and remember God together. The order has spread across the world, influencing various cultures and spiritual practices, while maintaining its core principles of love, compassion, and service to humanity.
