Sudanese Wars
The "Sudanese Wars" refer to a series of conflicts in Sudan, primarily involving the civil wars between the northern and southern regions. The first civil war lasted from 1955 to 1972, driven by cultural, religious, and economic differences. The second civil war erupted in 1983 and continued until 2005, resulting in significant loss of life and displacement.
These wars ultimately led to the independence of South Sudan in 2011, following a peace agreement that ended the second civil war. The conflicts have had lasting impacts on the region, including ongoing tensions and violence in areas like Darfur and Blue Nile.
