Stjepan Radić
Stjepan Radić was a prominent Croatian politician and leader of the Croatian Peasant Party. Born on June 20, 1871, in Desno Trebarje, he played a significant role in advocating for the rights of Croatian peasants during the early 20th century. Radić's political career was marked by his efforts to promote agrarian reform and improve the living conditions of rural communities in Croatia.
Radić was a vocal critic of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes and sought greater autonomy for Croatia. His commitment to Croatian nationalism and social justice made him a key figure in the political landscape of the time. Tragically, he was assassinated in 1928, which further intensified political tensions in the region.
