The "Star of Africa II" is a large diamond weighing 318.75 carats. It is the second-largest cut diamond in the world and is part of the British Crown Jewels. Discovered in 1905 in the Cullinan Diamond Mine in South Africa, it was originally a rough stone weighing 3,106 carats. The diamond was cut by Joseph Asscher and was presented to King Edward VII of the United Kingdom.
