Sperm Transport
Sperm transport refers to the journey of sperm cells from the male reproductive system to the female reproductive system. This process begins in the testes, where sperm are produced, and continues through the epididymis, vas deferens, and urethra during ejaculation.
Once ejaculated, sperm travel through the vagina and cervix into the uterus and fallopian tubes. The journey is aided by the movement of the sperm's tail, or flagellum, and the contractions of the female reproductive tract, which help guide the sperm toward the egg for potential fertilization.
