Sperm transport mechanisms refer to the processes that facilitate the movement of sperm from the male reproductive system to the female reproductive system. This journey begins in the testes, where sperm is produced, and continues through the epididymis, vas deferens, and urethra during ejaculation. Muscle contractions and fluid movement help propel sperm through these structures.
Once sperm is ejaculated, they enter the female reproductive tract, where additional mechanisms assist in their transport.
