Sparring
Sparring is a practice exercise in combat sports, such as boxing, martial arts, and kickboxing, where two participants engage in a controlled fight. The primary goal is to improve skills, techniques, and strategies while minimizing the risk of injury. Sparring can be done with varying levels of intensity, from light contact to more competitive scenarios.
During sparring sessions, athletes often wear protective gear, such as gloves, headgear, and mouthguards, to ensure safety. It allows fighters to apply what they have learned in training against a live opponent, helping them to develop timing, distance management, and adaptability in real-time situations.
