Spanish Parliament
The Spanish Parliament, known as the Cortes Generales, is the legislative body of Spain. It consists of two chambers: the Congreso de los Diputados (Congress of Deputies) and the Senado (Senate). The Congress has 350 members elected by the public, while the Senate has 266 members, with some elected and others appointed by regional legislatures.
The primary role of the Spanish Parliament is to create and approve laws, oversee the government, and represent the interests of the Spanish people. It meets in the Palacio de las Cortes in Madrid, where members debate and vote on various legislative proposals.
