Southern Qi
Southern Qi was a Chinese dynasty that ruled from 479 to 502 AD during the period known as the Southern Dynasties. It was established after the fall of the Liu Song dynasty and was known for its cultural achievements, including advancements in literature and art. The capital was located in Nanjing, which became a center of political and cultural life.
The dynasty was marked by internal strife and power struggles, particularly among the ruling families. Despite these challenges, Southern Qi is remembered for its contributions to Buddhism and the promotion of scholarly pursuits. The dynasty ultimately fell to the Liang dynasty in 502 AD.
