Southern Liang
The Southern Liang was a short-lived dynasty that existed during the period of the Southern Dynasties in China, specifically from 502 to 557 AD. It was founded by the Xiang clan and was one of the many states that emerged after the fall of the Jin Dynasty. The capital was located in Jiangling, which is in present-day Hubei province.
The Southern Liang is known for its cultural achievements, particularly in literature and art. It was a time when Buddhism flourished, and many temples were built. The dynasty eventually fell to the Chen Dynasty, marking the end of its influence in southern China.
