South Arabian Languages
The South Arabian languages are a group of Semitic languages spoken primarily in the southern part of the Arabian Peninsula, particularly in Yemen and Oman. This language family includes several languages, such as Modern South Arabian languages like Mahri and Soqotri, which are distinct from the more widely known Arabic.
These languages are characterized by unique phonetic and grammatical features that set them apart from other Semitic languages. They have a rich oral tradition and are often used in local communities, preserving cultural heritage and identity in the region.
