Sorbian Language
The Sorbian language is a Slavic language spoken primarily in the Lusatia region of eastern Germany. It has two main dialects: Upper Sorbian and Lower Sorbian, each with its own distinct characteristics. Sorbian is recognized as a minority language and has legal protection, allowing for its use in education and media.
Sorbian is closely related to other Slavic languages, such as Polish and Czech, but it has unique features that set it apart. The language is an important part of the cultural identity of the Sorbs, a Slavic ethnic group in Germany, and efforts are ongoing to preserve and promote its use among younger generations.
