Sorb language
The Sorb language is a West Slavic language spoken by the Sorb people in eastern Germany, primarily in the regions of Lower Lusatia and Upper Lusatia. It has two main dialects: Upper Sorbian and Lower Sorbian. The language is recognized as a minority language and has legal protection, allowing for its use in education and media.
Sorb is closely related to other Slavic languages, such as Polish and Czech, but it has unique characteristics that distinguish it. Efforts to preserve and promote the language include bilingual education and cultural initiatives, helping to maintain the Sorb culture and identity.
