Sophia Charlotte of Hanover (1668-1705) was a German princess and the first queen consort of George I of Great Britain. Born in Hanover, she was the daughter of Ernest Augustus, Elector of Hanover and Sophia of the Palatinate. Her marriage to George in 1682 helped strengthen ties between Hanover and Britain.
