Slobodan Milosevic
Slobodan Milosevic was a Serbian politician who served as the President of Serbia from 1989 to 1997 and later as the President of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia from 1997 to 2000. He played a significant role during the Yugoslav Wars in the 1990s, which were marked by ethnic conflict and violence following the breakup of Yugoslavia.
Milosevic was known for his nationalist policies and was accused of war crimes, including ethnic cleansing. In 2001, he was arrested and later tried at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague, where he faced charges related to the conflicts in Bosnia, Croatia, and Kosovo.
