Vojislav Šešelj
Vojislav Šešelj is a Serbian politician and former leader of the Serbian Radical Party. Born on October 11, 1954, he is known for his nationalist views and has been a prominent figure in Serbian politics since the 1990s. Šešelj gained international attention during the Yugoslav Wars and was later indicted for war crimes by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY).
In 2014, after a lengthy trial, he was acquitted of most charges, although the tribunal found him guilty of contempt of court. Šešelj has remained a controversial figure in Serbia, often stirring debate with his rhetoric and political actions.
