Sling (Weapon)
A sling is a simple weapon used to hurl projectiles, typically stones or small metal balls, at high speeds. It consists of a long strip of material, often leather or fabric, with a pouch in the center to hold the projectile. The user swings the sling in a circular motion and releases one end to launch the projectile toward a target.
Slinging has been practiced since ancient times and was used by various cultures, including the Ancient Greeks and Romans. It is known for its effectiveness in warfare and hunting, as well as its role in the biblical story of David and Goliath.
