Sir Thomas Knyvet
Sir Thomas Knyvet was an English courtier and politician during the late 16th and early 17th centuries. He is best known for his role in the arrest of Guy Fawkes and other conspirators involved in the Gunpowder Plot of 1605, which aimed to blow up the House of Lords and assassinate King James I.
Knyvet was born around 1560 and served as a Member of Parliament for Bury St Edmunds. He was later appointed as a knight and held various positions in the royal court, reflecting his influence and loyalty to the monarchy during a tumultuous period in English history.
