Simon Fraser, 14th Lord Lovat
Simon Fraser, 14th Lord Lovat was a Scottish nobleman born in 1701. He was the chief of the Fraser clan and played a significant role in the Jacobite risings, which aimed to restore the Stuart monarchy to the British throne. Lovat was known for his political maneuvering and was a prominent figure during the early 18th century.
In 1745, Lovat supported Charles Edward Stuart, also known as Bonnie Prince Charlie, during the Jacobite uprising. However, after the defeat at the Battle of Culloden in 1746, he was captured and tried for treason. Lovat was executed in 1747, marking the end of his influential but controversial life.
