Simon Fraser, 11th Lord Lovat
Simon Fraser, 11th Lord Lovat (1705–1747), was a Scottish nobleman and military leader known for his role in the Jacobite risings. He was a prominent figure during the Jacobite uprising of 1745, supporting Charles Edward Stuart in his attempt to reclaim the British throne for the Stuart dynasty.
Lovat was known for his cunning and strategic skills, leading the Fraser clan in battle. However, after the defeat at the Battle of Culloden in 1746, he was captured and later executed for treason. His life and actions remain significant in Scottish history, reflecting the complexities of loyalty and power during that era.
