Shot Putters
Shot putters are athletes who compete in the sport of shot put, which involves throwing a heavy metal ball called a shot as far as possible. The event is part of track and field competitions and requires a combination of strength, technique, and explosive power. Athletes typically use a specific throwing technique, either the glide or the spin method, to maximize their distance.
In competitions, shot putters take turns throwing the shot from a circular area. Each athlete is allowed a limited number of attempts, and the best throw is recorded as their final score. The sport is popular in high school, collegiate, and professional levels, including the Olympics.
