Shor People
The Shor people are an indigenous ethnic group primarily found in the Siberian region of Russia, particularly in the Krasnoyarsk Krai. They speak the Shor language, which belongs to the Turkic language family. Traditionally, the Shor people have engaged in activities such as hunting, fishing, and reindeer herding, reflecting their close relationship with the natural environment.
In recent years, the Shor community has faced challenges related to cultural preservation and modernization. Efforts are being made to revitalize their language and traditions, as younger generations seek to maintain their unique identity while adapting to contemporary society.
