Shaft Mining
Shaft mining is a method used to extract minerals and resources from deep underground. This technique involves creating vertical or near-vertical tunnels, known as shafts, that reach down to the ore deposits. Miners then access these deposits through the shafts, using various tools and machinery to remove the materials.
This mining method is commonly used for extracting resources like coal, gold, and diamonds. Shaft mining is often more efficient for deep deposits compared to surface mining, as it minimizes land disturbance and allows for the extraction of valuable resources that are not accessible from the surface.
