Sfenks
The Sfenks, or Sphinx, is a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human. Originating from ancient Egyptian mythology, it is often associated with wisdom and protection. The most famous example is the Great Sphinx of Giza, which stands near the Pyramids and is believed to represent the pharaoh Khafre.
In addition to its Egyptian roots, the Sphinx appears in Greek mythology, where it is depicted as a female creature that poses riddles to travelers. Those who cannot answer are said to meet a tragic fate. The Sphinx symbolizes mystery and enigma in various cultures.
