Second Serbian Uprising
The Second Serbian Uprising was a revolt that took place from 1815 to 1817 against the Ottoman Empire. It aimed to achieve greater autonomy for the Serbian people, building on the earlier success of the First Serbian Uprising. The movement was led by figures like Miloš Obrenović, who sought to establish a more organized and structured resistance.
The uprising began with a series of skirmishes and negotiations, ultimately leading to the recognition of Serbia's autonomy in 1817. This marked a significant step towards Serbian independence and laid the groundwork for future national movements in the region, influencing the course of Serbian history and its relationship with the Ottoman Empire.
