Sarson
Sarson, commonly known as mustard, is a plant belonging to the Brassicaceae family. It is cultivated for its seeds, which are used to produce mustard oil and as a spice in various cuisines. The plant typically grows in temperate regions and is known for its bright yellow flowers.
The seeds of Sarson are rich in nutrients, including omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants. Mustard oil, extracted from these seeds, is popular in cooking, especially in Indian and Bangladeshi cuisines. Additionally, Sarson leaves, known as sarson da saag, are a traditional dish enjoyed in many parts of South Asia.
