Sanatana Goswami
Sanatana Goswami was a prominent saint and scholar in the Gaudiya Vaishnavism tradition, which is a sect of Hinduism focused on the worship of Lord Krishna. Born in the 15th century in Bengal, he was a close associate of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the founder of this spiritual movement. Sanatana Goswami played a crucial role in establishing the philosophical foundations and practices of Gaudiya Vaishnavism.
He is best known for his literary contributions, including the Brihad-bhagavatamrita, which explores the nature of devotion and the relationship between the devotee and God. Sanatana Goswami also helped to develop important pilgrimage sites in Vrindavan, where many followers of Krishna continue to visit today. His teachings emphasize love and devotion as the path to spiritual realization.
