Jiva Goswami
Jiva Goswami was a prominent theologian and philosopher in the 16th century, known for his contributions to the Gaudiya Vaishnavism tradition. He was born in 1513 in Bengal, India, and was a key disciple of Rupa Goswami, one of the principal followers of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Jiva Goswami is celebrated for his scholarly works that elaborate on the teachings of Bhakti and the nature of God.
He authored several important texts, including the Sat Sandarbhas, which systematically present the philosophy of Vaishnavism. Jiva Goswami played a crucial role in establishing the theological foundations of the tradition and is revered as one of its foremost saints.
